Paradise Seeds has announced an exciting new collaboration with a leading international cannabis partner in Colombia. An agreement has been signed with the medicinal cannabis provider, Clever Leaves, to develop Paradise cannabis genetics in Colombia for export to global medicinal cannabis markets.
As part of the partnership agreement, Clever Leaves is carrying out agronomic trials on nine Paradise Seeds genetics. The trials involve rigorous selection and phenotyping to register cultivars with the Colombian authorities for production and cultivation.
By law all cannabis varieties cultivated in Colombia need to be registered to ensure traceability and transparency in the international trade of cannabis flowers and cannabis derived products. It is the only country in the world with such a rigorous registration system.
The collaboration is expected to positively impact cannabis patients worldwide; a combination of Paradise’s experience in breeding and selection of high-quality cannabis strains with Clever Leaves’ expertise in cultivation and production of medicinal cannabis at one of the largest production facilities in Colombia.
